- Silver coin 1/2 real; 1.55 grams. Obverse: REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA, MEDIO REAL. Reclining woman with a cornucopia in one hand and a set of scales in the other. On the side of her chair is the inscription 30 DE JUNIO DE 1871. Cloth has a tiny inscription. Reverse: Wreath, two guns crossed and two swords crossed in back of a scroll upon which is written LIBERTAD 15 DE SETIEMre. Perched on the scroll is a quetzal bird.
