- Cast of early Greek relief. From bronze fragments discovered at Olympia. Made by an Argive artist probably of the 8th or 7th Century B.C. Compare Olympia IV, Plate 39. Friederichs-Wolters 341. Subjects framed in square spaces: Prometheus Bound sits facing a missing eagle. A running Gorgon. Herakles in combat with Old Age personified as an ugly man. Herakles in combat with Halios Geron, the old man of the sea.
