Korosta or Koroasto katsina (kachina); carved and painted figure. Case mask with blue face, with 3-pronged, white beak or snout in place of a mouth, flat, rounded, red ears embellished with small sea shells protrude from each side of mask. Crown is yellow with 4 carved and painted feathers at top. Back of mask is black with white dots. Carved and painted, Douglas fur ruff. Wears a white shirt over which is a ceremonial robe with black and green decoration and cloud and blossom signs included in hem. Black rolled bandolier across chest left to right. Wears blue and red moccasins with black soles. Bare legged, carries a rattle with feather in right hand and skin pouch for sacred corn meal.
