Cree woman doll. Leather, wire armature, molded and beaded/painted features, stocking knit arms and legs, black yarn hair in braids. Dressed as a modern indian woman at a festival. White mocassins, beaded in black/red/blue/white. White slip, purple/blue dress w/ pink and green bands at wrist and hem. Beaded belt & breast ornament, red bugle bead necklet, beaded hair ornaments hung on tan fur wrappings of braids. Cowrie shell earrings, beaded headband with rosette in back and ribbons down back. Carries a leather purse, lightly beaded and a “traditional” blanket [red/blue plaid with red fringes] over her right arm. H = 13.5”
