Description:
This is a lid such as is used with a tea cup. It is fashioned from sheets of brass and embossed with an elaborate floral pattern. The handle at the top is formed into a lotus bud.

Comment:
Note that the photographer, in some pictures, wrongly included an offering bowl with this lid. While it fits the bowl, it was not made for, nor was it used with such a bowl. The offering bowl filled with water or rice and is set, with no lid, on an altar. The lid goes with an ornamented tea cup (not in the collection).
