Comment:
Like other antsuku it was used to collect fruits, seaweed and shellfish and was worn at the waist. Thus the carrying 3 cords are each only about 55 to 60cm long. One cord is arrange in a loop through which the other shorter cords pass. This cord design is unique to antsuku. Like other baskets of this type it was probably a pure rectangle when first made. With use it took on a softer shape and would conform to the shape of whatever was being carried.
