Called by collector "Bandele" plaque. Berta Bascom believes that Bandele is the name of the carver. Dr. Corinna Ricasoli confirmed on 2022-03-28 that the artist is George Bandele, an important Christian woodcarver from Nigeria whose many artworks deal with biblical subject matter.
