- Specimen, mineral; clay (winati), one lump; “This clay is said by Indians to be the proper kind for pottery making. It has a yellowish color and in this specimen there are many particles of sibicious and micaceous sand. Informants say, however, that the best pots are made from the clay dug from several feet underground where there is no admixture of sand or other foreign material”.
