Distinctive 1950s angular handle. The hand-painted decal shows two hands shaking are encircled by the ring of a cog, a dove of peace and friendship at the bottom. Two characters on each side, read from right to left: “Worker-Peasant Alliance” (工農联盟 Gongnong lianmeng). A five-pointed star at upper left. Inscription: “Energetically produce” (努力生產 Nuli shengchan). Kiln mark: “Product of Liling Ceramic Painting Worker’s Commune” (醴陵陶畫工人合作社出品Liling taohua gongren hezuoshe chupin)
