- Stirrer for chocolate; soft light wood with burnt wood band decoration; plain stick handle with two pairs of bands; heavy cylindrical base; wide dark burnt band on top; pair of bands near center. length 30 cm cf. 3-23984 Mexico, Jalisco, Guadalaja Materials: Wood Technique: lathe turned, burnt wood Context of use: Used by twirling handle between two hands; base rests on piece of chocolate which is in the bottom of a pot full of milk; the twirling causes a frothy chocolate mixture
