Description:
Shawl; twill woven, medium-brown warp & weft Kashmir shawl with fine embroidered pattern of isolated tiny flowers in rust/gray-brown and pink throughout the gound; narrow embroidered floral bands along selvages and across ends, also of rust/gray-brown and pink flowers, leaves and tendrils. Buttonhole stitch in dark red runds along each selvage from about 2 cm from end of weaving at one end to virtually very end of cut warp threads on other. This shawl appears to be signed (?) in blue in one corner.
