Finial; 2 rampant ibex (capra ibex) w/fore- and hindfeet resting on rings. Horns curled backward and are forked at ends and serrated aong outer edge. the long necks curve foreward, have ridge and serrated edges to indicate manes. Cowrey-shaped ears point backwards; eyes are prominent; short beards from lower jaw of elaongated muzzles. H. 13.9 cm; W. 9.3 cm. Penes are idicated (an unusual attribute). Green patina over most of surface with one area of blue patina below a break in the neck of one ibex, 1.2 cm from shoulder. This break may indicate a modern repair.
