Approaching Yokohama, showing the contour of the land and in the foreground some of the typical Japanese fishing craft. Fishing is a large and very important industry in the Island Empire, and although the waters around Japan abound in many kinds of eatible fish, they do not confine themselves to home waters, but go far afield for catches, and because of their industry have made big inroads into the world's markets."
