teapot; handle is on the side near the top. general shape is egg-shaped; gold trimmed around nozzle and foot. on side in filigree Old English style "This teapot pours but not until You find out how the way to fill." the opposite side is the crest of Windsor; a shield divided per Fess, orange on the bottom, green on top. within the green area is a shield that rests between the antlers of a stag. the smaller shield is in quarters with sky blue and orange in alternating quadrants. the fleur-de-lys are in the blue, three lions are in the orange. in the large orange half of the main shield is a three-tiered castle with four crosses on the base. on the bottom is a hole where the water is poured. below the shield is a yellow ribbon with Windsor written on it. made by Carlton China owned by Wiltshaw & Robinson in Stoke-on-Trent, 1902-1914. register stamp is 472329.
