Description:
Mask; zoomorphic, head of jaguar or cat; carved of wood with coating of material which appears to be plaster, stained dark; imbedded above eyes are wisps of animal hair, possibly cow, as whiskers; same material as whiskers imbedded in snout. This hair is pegged in with vegetable fiber, fuchsia dyed vegetable fiber string attached. height 22 cm., width 19 cm.
