Carving, cabinet pc.: Carved ivory figure, one of a set of five (9-12532-36). The figure possibly of jurojin (god of longevity) kneels on one leg, and holds a staff in the right hand (attached, separately carved). He has 1 a long flowing beard, small cap on head, and large bow knot tied at shoulder. 'Textile' designs on robes consist of diamonds and 'checkerboard' pattern. Carving is detailed, facial features distinct. Depressions of surface stained dark. H. 3 cm.
