Shield type two cent coin, 1871, minted in Philadelphia. It appears that a small hole was started at the top of the reverse but was never drilled all the way through the coin. Obverse: IN GOD WE TRUST / date - Shield, olive wreath surrounding, motto in ribbon above, date below. Reverse: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 2 CENTS - value within wreath of wheat.
