- San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico. Martinez, Richard (Ricardo Martinez; Opa Mu Nu) - San Ildefonso. Born: 1904. As one of the original students at Santa Fe Indian School, the artist assisted in the execution of a mural series in the student dining room in 1936. He painted as early as 1920, and, in 1950, he was still painting mythological and ceremonial subjects. He seldom paints now (1968). Commissions: Murals - Santa Fe Ind. School.
