Jar, porcelain; Lid (b), and stand (c) wood: Jar (a) is a porcelain cylinder with flat bottom, recessed base. Overglaze enamel decoration: symmetrical design of stylized lotus blossom, shou character, bats, umbrella and canopy, conch-shell and wheel of law, jar. Turquoise scrollwork on dark blue ground. Most of the emblems are white with dark detail. Band near rim of ju-i scepter heads. Gate pattern band near base. Raised handle loops on opposite sides with twisted brass handles. Interior: stained white glaze. Lid (b) stained teak, turned on lathe with open work of coin design. Bell with dome shape with attached pointed knob, warped. Stand (c) stained teak, turned with furniture-fret pattern between four feet. Height (a) 17.5 cm., diameter 18.7 cm.; (b) height 11 cm., diameter 19 cm.; (c) height 5.1 cm., diameter 19.2 cm.
