After that there is plain twining until the rim where there is 1 weft row of three strand twining. The design at the base and at the rim are bands of red dyed woodwardia with diagonal lines radiating from it. The primary design is three sets of offset stacked red dyed woodwardia parrallelograms outlined in maidenhair fern. The basket has an exterior workface with a rightward work direction. The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist. The overlay is only on the outside. The rim is trimmed. The basket is from Northwestern California.
