Description:
Sari: Palola double ikot silk sari; central field has grid of small, stepped, geometric shapes with large geometric shapes and stylized, stepped flowers in centers. Off white, dark red, yellow, blue-green. Both ends have two bands of floral and geometric motifs. 8.0 cm wide red silk band is sewn along one selvage. Opposing selvage is pieced for approximately 1/2 the length of the sai. 15.0 cm wide area on each side of central field has multiple narrow warp stripes with stripe of triangles between it in field.
