- Cradleboard; blue-painted wood base with excised heart and carved end; deer hide carrying strap; wool plaid and satin “sleeve” with deer hide lacing; floral cotton cover; blue painted wood hoop attached to base with wire; length 82.5 cm. To carry babies on back with strap over shoulder or on head; cover used against cold and bugs; baby is bound in. Border design based on indigenous (?).
