- Comment:
- Inscription: Foot: “Starlight Brand, Shanghai State-private Cooperative Guangming Enamel Factory, 6th December, 1956” (星光牌 上海公私合营光明搪瓷厂 1956.12-6 Xingguang pai Shanghai gongsi heying Guangming tangci chang 1956.12-6). Comment: In the mid-1950s the nationalization of industries was happening at a fast pace. This mug declares that the Textile factory has become State Owned (國營), but the seal on the bottom still reads Public-Private partnership (公私合營). Condition: Extensive enamel losses to the foot and handle, with repairs.
