Some flowers embroidered w/ orange, teal, pink & green silk floss; major motifs of bamboo, turtles & cranes done in gold metallic paper wrapped silk thread. Orange silk lining, long furisode sleeves, padded hem. 163.5 cm L. Acc. to Mary Hayes this is a copy of an 18th century furisode (kimono for unmarried woman); gold = bamboo trees; cranes, plum blossoms, pine; tortoises at bottom.
