Plate: polychrome on cream ground, so-called Talavera Ware (tin-glazed earthenware), badly bubbled glaze. Center of plate depicts walking man with load of firewood on back, trees on either side of him and flying bird above, all in cobalt blue, band inside yellow rim has curvilinear and abstract designs in green, orange, and cobalt. Rim diameter 24 cm.
