Plain twined, cylindrical bowl shape. Very flexible because of tule or cattail leaf cordage warp. Complex designs in split grass stem overlay on darker ground of tule weft. Warp and weft of tule or cattail leaf, overlay of split grass stem material. Use of grass stem overlay instead of Xerophyllum tenax, and 3-strand braided twining on base are Modoc/Klamath features.
