Needle. To collector, "circe de paie needle" = straw fence; "paille" = straw, "cercle" = circle. Iron. Large self loop at top, elliptical perforation above tip. Length 28 centimeters. From Niger, vicinity of Lake Chad, N'guigmi; probably Kanouri peoples. Said to be for weaving straw.
