- vase, cloisonne on porcelain. pear shaped vase w/ narrow neck and wide 'belly'. wide flared out mouth, short flared foot. cloisonne-enamel decoration on body up to mid. neck, underglaze blue decoration above and on foot. many designs in opaque colors on a flat dull ground of turquoise blue. seven large panels of various shapes (fans, folded paper etc.) w/ floral, faunal and geometric designs within. smaller designs between scrollwork on foot. Chinese coin design in blue on upper neck w/ gold lacquer floral medalions. narrow band on inner mouth in underglaze blue, Mountain motif. short round carved teak stand (b). both (a) and (b) identical to 9-12607ab. H. (a) 39.8 H. (b) 2.7 cm. Max Dia. 14 cm. Description cont. Bottom of foot has 9 character inscription in underglaze blue reading "Dai Nippon Shippo Kaisha Seizo." (Great Japan, Cloisonne Manufacturing Company) Seven unidentified character in red Lacquer to side.
