A tightly coiled globose basket. Per Ralph Shanks: Flaring coiled basket bowl, used, with food residue. The wefts are widely spaced. Tight spiral start, with 2 1/2 inches that is convex at the base. The coil foundation is a mix of splints and rods. The wefts are peeled shoots. The rim is plain wrapped with a missing coil ending. There are no designs. The basket has an exterior workface, a rightward work direction, and the majority of wefts have a down to the right slant of weft twist. The weft fag ends are primarily bound under. The weft moving ends are primarily bound under. The weft stitches are often split.
