- Necklace; possibly silver, brass/silver balls, coins, red glass beads; diameter 21 cm; pendant coin; obverse profile of R. Carrera Fundador.. Guatemala; reverse, crest date 1888, three charms soldered, three charms suspended; length 5 cm. Coin (pendant) may be fake. Necklaces like this are worn and sold throughout Guatemala. They are made by Indian and Ladino populations. The silver balls are used for wedding necklaces. The red beads are imported.
