A red fruit (apple?) on the front. On the lid is a red five-pointed star with “8-1” (八一 bayi) (August 1st, the anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Liberation Army) written in gold. Inscription on back is in the calligraphy of Zhang Aiping (1908-2003), a high-ranking military leader.
