Description:
Model of the so-called Porcelain Pagoda, Nanking, China." Covered with yellow and green glazed tiles. It was completed in 1431 and destroyed in 1854 by the Tai-ping rebels. It was 236 feet in height, and 144 bells were attached to the corners of the roof. Model made by Chinese Orphanage of Sikkawei near Shanghai.
