Textile fragment; Gujerati: Kor--"border"; part of a sari border; silk brocade with anthropomorphic, zoomorphic floral and architectural motifs in several colours on purple satin ground; L. 58.5 cm., W. 6.8 cm.; made by Chinese weavers, exported to India for Parsi customers; used as edging for a sari, probably also of Chinese silk. Parsi commercial houses in China commissioned the weaving of such borders for customers in India.
