Twined basket bowl, wide mouth, sloping sides. Per Ralph Shanks: Probably made for sale, in the style of storage or cooking basket, never used. Three strand twining at the base, plain twined on sides. Hazel warps. Conifer root weft with beargrass overlay. Black designs are probably maidenhair fern as well as some other material. V-on-side shaped stepped designs and one narrow stripe below the rim.
