Stirrer for chocolate; soft light wood with carved motifs; burnt wood band decoration; plain handle with turned decoration near base; heavy cylindrical base with cut horizontal and vertical decoration; hollow inside; two dark brown burnt band decorations on exterior base length 32.5 cm cf. 3-23984 Mexico, Jalisco, Guadalaja Materials: Wood Technique: lathe turned, burnt wood Context of use: Used by twirling handle between two hands; base rests on piece of chocolate which is in the bottom of a pot full of milk; the twirling causes a frothy chocolate mixture
