Sleeve bands; matching pair; Imperial Era; tan silk ground, embroidered w/ landscape scenes which includes 2 figures per band (one boy plays the “chu”), 2 red suns (symbol of the emperor), bat (longevity symbol), trees, flowers, fences, stream, and clouds. Embroidered w/ silk floss on faces and clothes; pair joined at center, edged in blue silk, and framed together w/ black and gold floral brocade silk band. ca 1900, mounted ca. 1915.
