Coat: pink satin weave silk, butterfly & iris pattern; short body, wide sleeves, round collar & modified Machu closure, side vents at hem. Wide band blue floral embroidery bordered w/ narrow woven braid & black ribbon around neck, front closure & hem. Hem has blade motif at side vents, inner border has rows of multicolor woven braid, unfinished & edged w/ blue braid. sleeve bands very fine work; multicolor embroidery of birds & flowers, including mandarin ducks, peacocks, egrets, & finches among peonies, wisteria, plum blossoms & other florals. Edged w/ blue & white woven braids; whole garment lined w/ white satin weave silk. 94.5 cm L.
