MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES: Backstrap-loomed with cotton yarns, 2 singles in red, (predominant), and white. Suppl. weft brocading and randa in silk floss in purple, lavender, blue, dark blue. Iconography of double-headed eagles and geometric borders. CONTEXT OF USE: Tape tag attached inscribed "#40, $15." Lower right corner is patched with backstrap-loomed cloth joined by hand stitching; patch is cotton. Upper left corner is also patched, joined by hand-stitching patch is cotton, singles, predominately red with white, 3 1/2" x 7" in size.
