- Description:
- China attributed. Bowl, porcelain with enamel decoration. Medium large hemisphere shape with scalloped edge. Thick, opaque overglaze enamel decoration covering all of exterior side: Chinese cabbage (bok choy) pattern. Stems form band of thick white near foot, with incised detail, and leaves, near rim in light and dark green with black detail, and spots of red and yellow color (butterflies?). Brown on rim. Interior has small center medallion of double peach and bat design; rest plain with grey-green tinted white surface. Iron-red 'endless-knot' potter's mark on base. Height 6.6 centimeters, diameter 17 centimeters.
