Carving; wood; a) boat; painted white w/ a chalk paint; blue markings & polka dots; 2 braces; length 74 cm; width 11 cm; depth 10 cm; b) paddle. Oko=boat. Used to protect belongings, usually tools. The carver used his oko to hold his carving tools (gave them protection). He said that individuals used theirs for the same purpose but in their own way. Collected June 1965.
