Blouse; backstrap-loomed, warp-predominate plain weave; two-faced supplemental weft brocading; two pieces of cloth joined by randa; warps out, hemmed by machine. Geometric designs. 52.5 cm x 78. 5 cm. Materials, techniques: Singles and two-ply cotton, red, blue, turquoise, orange, yellow, purple, dark blue, green, magenta, white, black. Context of use: Red background with jade and yellow vertical stripes and other colored warps worked in to accent on either side; supplemental weft brocading at arm holes have 1.5" fringes of yarn twisted and knotted at both ends, a unique feature of textiles from this town; aide seams also joined by randas.
