Piece of ground loom, natu. The end of a weaving was cut off, the 8" of the previous piece hemmed, and a dowel was inserted in the sleeve. The warp and completed weave of this end piece were used to demonstrated for a class which Um 'Eid gave to some women I brought to her house. The rest of the warp was previously used to make shoulder bags and ornamental pieces to sell at the market. White with red, green and orange plain weave patterns, horizontal and vertical stripes. Loom includes two beams, heddle bare with brown wool heddles and stick shuttle with beige sheep wool. Z-ply, warp-faced plain weave, 6 EPI. sheep wool, wood
