Cast of bronze statue of a man leaning on a spear. It may be a portrait of the Hellenistic period representing a spear thrower. From a bronze in the Museo delle Terme, Rome. Found at Rome in 1885, during the construction of the Teatro Drammatico Nationale. It has been carefully buried. Restored: part of left forefinger, right middle finger, part of left thigh, spear, plinth. Compare with Helbig no. 1052, Lanciani, Ancient Rome, page 303.
