Crow. Label "Head chief of the Little Big Horn tribe, of much influence in the advancement of his tribe. Physically magnificent, quiet demeanor, but every inch a king." Artist's price $350. Stamp on reverse of frame "the Peleger Pat. Feb. 2nd, 1886." Stain from artist's label on back of canvas, now missing, leaving ink stains on canvas. Heavy bloom on black paint - July 18, 1975. One in a series from life in oil by J. H. Sharp, mainly Crow, Cheyenne, Blackfoot, Sioux, and Rio Grande Pueblo portraits.
