Description:
Sword guard; iron, four-lobed shape. One of the holes (hitsu) next to the tang hole, is filled with shakudo (a Japanese alloy). One side has two gold relief dragons opposite each other near the edge. Other side has another dragon. Ground design on each side is composed of small chiseled lines radiating from the center.
