China. Bowl, porcelain, with enamel decoration. Hemisphere shape, with recessed foot. Heavy enamel decoration covering all of exterior: six Lion-dogs (shih tzu) amidst clouds, some playing with silk-brocade balls, another with a dragon. Enamels are thick, and opaque, with black detail. Traces of gilt between clouds and on rim. Double peach and bat medallion on center interior bottom. Coral-red "seal mark" on base of T'ung Chich reign (1862-1873) of the Ching Dynasty. Height 6 centimeters, diameter 13.2 centimeters.
