Description:
Oil bottle, porcelain, blue and white "Imari" ware. Squat ovoid, globular shape with constricted neck and flaring mouth. Plum blossom decoration in light-blue underglaze on upper half of one side with brown-blue outline. Light blue band around lower half. Two bands around short, narrow foot. Rim worn. Many small scratches on body. Height 10.5 cm. From Japan, Saga Prefecture (Hizen Province), Arita, "Imari" ware. Attributed to 18th century.
