Description:
54 negatives in a light tan colored "Kodak Negative Album, for 4 x 5 in (10 x 12.5 cm) negatives...Made in USA." The album has 100 glassine sleeves (one per negative) and 2 sheets of lined white paper, numbered, on both sides, 1 - 100. This Hoefler album is marked on the outside, in pencil "[# 3]" and the spine is printed in black "Kodak Negative Album." The negatives probably date from December of 1942 from an airbase (British?/US?) near the Red Sea. The negatives in this album feature a variety of images, i.e.: "Headquarters, Eritrea Service Command, United States Army Forces in the Middle East," street scenes, indoor meetings, ship, airplanes, soldiers on review, camels, etc. Paper noted slipped into sleeve number 82 reads: "No. 24, Name: Keren.
