Ceremonial tray; Parsi; German silver, electroplated in silver; flat, circular bottom with slightly elliptical sides; owner’s initials in English on top center, donor’s father’s name in Gujerati on outer side, manufacturer’s trademark on bottom; used in religious and quasi-religious ceremonies to hold ceremonial objects or ritual and symbolic foods. As with many Zoroastrian/Parsa ceremonial objects, it has a counterpart in common domestic use.
