Comment:
Context of use: According to the dictionary, celadonite is "a soft green earthy silicate of iron, magnesium, and potassium." The outcrop from which this sample comes is thought to have supplied the local Paiutes with a trade pigment that traveled far and wide, as far as the Maidu in Calif. and other tribes in western Washington.
